A busy year

2017 so far….

Cossag has had a very busy 2017 and it’s not over yet!

We had a wonderful luncheon in May combining Art and Music “Divine Inspirations” The combination of music and art was a delight, with art, guest speakers and performance by the schola of the Cathedral.

Then in June (our major event): “All are One” art prize and exhibition. Our biggest art prize event to date. Opening night attracted big crowds. There were 52 finalists and the quality of the art this year was exceptional.

In July we were privileged to be the hosts of the Mandorla Art Prize information session. This is the major religious art prize in Australia.

In August we had a collaborative event, “Ars Moriendi” at the West Chapel with Mt Thompson and Simplicity Funerals.  This unique event was part of the “Dying to Know” week encouraging conversations around mortality and death.

Usually in September we are gearing up for the annual Fair Trade market (Hands of the World) that is held at the end of October. But this year we are taking a break from this market.

Instead we are having a market on the Advent weekend. Read more about this event below.
