We are please to announce the details of this years free public lecture. It will be held on the 15th of September in the Francis Rush Centre, Cathedral of St Stephen precinct, Elizabeth Street, Brisbane.
Each year Cossag hosts a public lecture engaging distinguished artists or art industry professionals to share their insights. This year we are privileged to have Judy Watson as our speaker.
Judy Watson is one of Australia’s most distinguished mid-career Aboriginal artists. At this lecture Judy will discuss her past and recent works with a view to unearthing old memories
that have been whitewashed and erased.
She will discuss her interest in archives and museum collections as well as her process of art making using printmaking, drawing, installation, video and public artworks.
The artist reveals compelling histories that are relevant to our times.
Doors open 5:30pm for a 6:00pm start.
The Cathedral car park – entrance in Charlotte St – will be open from 5:00pm for guests.
Light refreshments will be served.
